The Best Outfits at the Olympics On and Off the Ice

Everybody’s loves to watch an exciting competition, but watching the teams at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang has left its mark in the style department. Athletes from around the globe have shown as much flair with their shimmering costumes and colorful outfits as they did with their gravity-defying routines. Here are some of the best!

Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir

Bringing the heat on the ice was the Canadian Duo. Virtue and Moir looked great while wearing a matching sheer paneling for their pairs’ Free Dance and Virtue’s single-sleeve black and gold outfit was an absolute vision during the Team Event.

The Norwegian Curling Team

This team has grabbed the spotlight with its impressive uniform (so popular, in fact, that it even has its own official Facebook Fan Page). The team has carried on with the tradition of wearing colorful pants, and during the match on Valentine’s Day they took it to a whole other level wearing heart-print pants.

Adam Rippon

The historic Olympic athlete was a stand-out with an outfit embellished with black leather and glitter accents during the Men’s Short Program. The sparkling blue outfit while dancing to Coldplay was also a dreamy Olympic moment.

The ShibSibs

Alex and Maia Shibutani have managed to dazzle everybody not only with their ice dancing routines, but also with their spectacular outfits. The sibling duo from USA wore matching crimson numbers for their first competition and Alex wore a bronze, button-down beaded top that had everybody talking about it for their short dance at the Team Event.

Mexico’s Olympic Ski Team

The uniforms for this team are outstanding. They are inspired in the tradition “Dia de Los Muertos” or Day of the Dead. The uniform was created by Hubertus von Hohenlohe, and it totally set them apart among the sea of white uniforms at the competition.

Mae Berenice Meite

A power suit on the ice! The French skater grabbed the attention with a fabulous black beaded pantsuit during the Ladies Short Program at her Team Event.

The Canadian Snowboarding Team

Their jackets were designed to look like sweaters! The design came from Burton, a popular snowboard brand. It was a first for this company when it comes to uniforms for an Olympic competition and now everybody wants in on the fashionable jackets.

Mirai Nagasu

Lady in red making history! Nagasu became the first American woman to ever land a triple axel in the Olympics and she did it while looking amazing in a red dress with a fluttery skirt and bejeweled bodice.

Yuzuru Hanyu

The Japanese figure skater impressed the audience by wearing a sleek all-black look. Hanyu was the first man to win an Olympic gold medal for Japan for figure skating in 2014, and is hoping to hold on to that title.

With a few more Olympic events to go, we’re loving the 2018 Winter Games!
