I’ve already talked about 2024 trends a bit, but this article will be all about the warm weather transition — what’s in, what’s not, and what trends are making a comeback. So, to help you upgrade your closet, I decided to share with you my spring fashion must-haves.
Rose Everything
Sorry, but I just can’t continue this section of the article without quoting one of the most iconic sentences of fashion filmography: “Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking.” But on a more serious note, rose print or any rose details will be HUGE for the spring/summer season. It’s mentioned in numerous fashion magazines such as Vogue, Glamour, and InStyle, and we were also able to see it on the runways during fashion week. So if you’re a lover of florals yourself, make sure to incorporate some rose details into your spring wardrobe.
Capri Pants
This is a trend every millennial has been dreading — however, according to the TikTok fashion police, it’s actually happening: capri pants are back in style. Trust me, I have nightmares of myself wearing a dress and capri pants combo. But that doesn’t mean that there aren’t any fashionable ways to wear these jeans/shorts hybrids. Combined with a cute crop top, a flowing blouse, or a bodysuit — it can actually look nice. So if you’re not feeling too comfortable wearing short shorts during the warmer months, this could be a fantastic alternative.
Ballet Flats
Talking about early 00s trends that are making a comeback, you must’ve noticed by now that ballet flats are becoming increasingly more popular! And honestly, I’m totally here for it! They have always given me such romantic and classy Audrey Hepburn vibes, and I was so excited when I started seeing them popping up again. It’s so easy to style them, they are so comfortable (if you pick the right pair) and you can wear them in dresses and jeans.
Emotional Support Bags
The days of micro bags are over — so if you’re looking for a new spring bag, make sure it’s big enough to give you scoliosis. Jokes aside, this trend is actually so useful, especially for the warmer days. First of all, most of us spend a lot more time outside once the weather gets nice. Finally, we will be able to carry our water bottles and snacks in our bags, instead of leaving them at home or in our car. Oversized bags, or as I like to call them — emotional support bags, are a huge fashion trend for 2024, but they will be particularly popular during the warmer months.
